Introduction
Requirements
The minimum requirements for using the font are:
- a machine with a running operating system
- a text editor of your choice
- the mqsd.zip file
Font Files
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer. The contents of the font folder should be:
- mqsd.ttf
- userguide.pdf
- license.txt
License
The font is free for both personal and commercial use. Enjoy!
Font Installation
Mac OS
Mac OS X 10 or above
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer.
Open the mqsd.ttf file and click
Other versions of Mac OS X
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer.
Option 1: If you want the font installed for all users copy the mqsd.ttf file into the /Library/Fonts folder.
- or -
Option 2: If you want the font installed for you only copy the mqsd.ttf file into the /Users/Your_username/Library/Fonts folder.
Mac OS 9 or earlier
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer.
Convert the mqsd.ttf file using one of the tools available here.
Drag the converted font file into the System folder and you will be prompted with the option to add it to the Fonts folder.
Windows
Windows 7, 8 and Vista
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer.
Option 1: Select the mqsd.ttf file and Right-click > Install

Option 2: Open the mqsd.ttf file and click
Other versions of Windows
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer.
Copy the mqsd.ttf file into the Fonts folder, usually located in C:\Windows\ or C:\WINNT\
Linux
Unzip the mqsd.zip file somewhere on your computer.
Option 1: Copy the mqsd.ttf to fonts:// in the File Manager.

Option 2: Go into the /home folder, select View > Show Hidden Files from the menu, then copy the mqsd.ttf file in hidden .fonts folder. If the folder does not exist, create it.
Using the Font
With a Software
Proceed as usual. The font should appear in your software's font combo-box.
For a Website
Embed the font in your webpages using the CSS3 @font-face property.

In Emails & Instant Messengers
If possible, avoid sending an email or an instant message using a non-standard font.

Make sure your correspondent also has the font installed. Otherwise he/she will see the message with the default font.
Nothing is Working
Step 1: Relaunch the target application after installing the font.

Step 2: Make sure you copied the mqsd.ttf file (and not the mqsd.zip file) into the Fonts folder.
